Project VI : AgrInnovators Platform for Agricultural Data Analysis and Farmer Support
In November 2023, a project was undertaken to develop an application for managing the National Consumer Price Index (INPC) for the National Agency of Statistics and Demographic and Economic Analysis. Using Django, the CHAPO application was created to facilitate the management of the INPC and the prices of various products across different points of sale.
CHAPO includes automated calculation tools and predictive modeling for the INPC and specific product prices. This enables more efficient and accurate management of price data, providing a better foundation for economic analysis and decision-making. The application helps users track price fluctuations, generate detailed reports, and predict future price trends, thereby contributing to the improvement of economic and social policies.
Problem Statement :
Effective and accurate management of consumer price data is crucial for statistical agencies to monitor inflation and guide economic policies. However, collecting, processing, and analyzing this data can be labor-intensive and prone to human error. Therefore, automated and reliable tools are needed to improve the accuracy and efficiency of managing the National Consumer Price Index (INPC).
Objectives :
- Develop a user-friendly application for managing the INPC.
- Automate the processes of price index calculations and data collection.
- Provide predictive modeling tools to anticipate price trends.
- Facilitate the generation of detailed and accurate reports on price fluctuations.
- Enhance economic decision-making through precise and real-time analysis of price data.
